'The Young and the Restless' (Y&R) spoilers for August 31: Chelsea faces a dilemma; Dylan is torn between family and duties; Kevin and Chloe make progress

Spoilers for “The Young and the Restless” tease that the show might be unleashing some of its best cards yet. Characters of the show are about to be in for extremes of every emotion ever known over the next few episodes.

On Wednesday, August 31, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will be facing a tough dilemma. Things get tight as Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) finds himself torn between family and work duties. Lastly, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) makes some progress with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson).
Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) will be elated to be united his wife Chelsea and kid Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). While all may seem well, Dylan will derail the plan.
Chelsea had already given all that she has to save her husband and her family. It is no doubt that she has gone far beyond boundaries to get where they are now, but things are far from over. From what the episode synopsis says, it looks like Chelsea will have to face some consequences of her recent actions.
As for Dylan, it looks like the tough and dutiful police officer has a soft side after all. For Wednesday’s episode, Soaps She Knows says that viewers will get to see how torn he will get between some dilemmas as a police officer and as a family man.
Lastly, Kevin will get his chance to get cosy with Chloe. While she will be worried sick about Chelsea’s escape with Connor, Kevin will be assuring her that the case is in good hands. With such progress being apparent, it looks like these two can get back with one another sooner than expected, since Chloe appears to be open already to being more than friends with Kevin.
