Exciting things are about to unfold in Genoa City and fans certainly can’t miss the upcoming episodes of “The Young and The Restless” (“Y&R”). On Monday, the rivalry between Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) heats up and spoilers suggest that someone may end up hurt and embarrassed.

Also on Monday, Jack (Peter Bergman) explores a new business venture, while Ashley (Eileen Davidson) finds out that she has a secret admirer. This week, “Y&R” will introduce a new character, “Real Housewives” star Erika Girardi appears as Farrah Dubose. Other “The Young and the Restless” cast members who will appear on the Dec. 12 to 16 episodes include Victor (Eric Braeden), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Billy (Jason Thompson), Sharon (Sharon Case), Devon (Bryton James), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), Nick (Joshua Morrow), Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane (Daniel Goddard).

CBS has posted a sneak peek of “Y&R” for Monday’s episode. In the trailer, Nick wonders to Phyllis, “Is this the best place for you? Jack’s office is right down the hall.” Phyllis answers, “Way ahead of you.” Meanwhile, Chloe asks, “Are we ready to slay ladies?” and she, Chelsea, and Sharon do a fist bump. Elsewhere, Hilary warns Mariah, “It will be a disaster, so I suggest you just walk away now.”

TV Guide reports that Tuesday’s installment focuses on Lily, who spices things up by seducing Cane. Meanwhile, Mariah finds herself at the centre of attention, and Chelsea begins to doubt her feelings for Nick.

Wednesday’s run centres on Devon, who pulls out all the stops to save GC Buzz. Victor, on the other hand, looks back at the difficulties he experienced before. Elsewhere, Nikki closes her doors to Sharon.

On Thursday, “Y&R” features Hilary, who announces her independence, while Billy stands up to Jack.

Wrapping the week on Dec. 16, Victoria blows her top, while Phyllis’ new attitude is revealed. Elsewhere, Victor and Nikki talk about what’s in store for them.
