Although Xiaomi is yet to announce the launch of Mi 5, there is speculation in the media that the Chinese manufacturer will come out with a laptop similar to Apple’s MacBook pro.

The new laptop or notebook is apparently at the developing stage and will be released in April 2016. According to speculations, the laptop will be modelled in a similar fashion to that of a MacBook. Xiaomi has apparently adopted the design of Apple, which had redesigned keyboard and a Force Touch trackpad.

Currently, Xiaomi is developing a laptop which will boast a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. While, GSM Arena claims that Xiaomi’s notebook will the cheapest when it hits the market.

According to the rumoured hardware specifications, Xiaomi’s laptop will be powered by Intel Core i7 processor, coupled with an 8GB RAM and will sport a 2GB of video memory along with Nvidia GeForce GTX760M graphic card.

Xiaomi is expected to release the much-awaited Mi 5 in January or February of 2016. The Mi 5 will sport a home button with bezel-less display. The device will also feature the inherited scanner instead of the ultrasonic fingerprint technology manufactured by Snapdragon. Xiaomi had earlier used the traditional scanner on a number of other devices.
