Who would not know the famous thumbs up Like sign in Facebook? According to most recent numbers, the Facebook buttons that say 'Like' and 'Share' are two of the most viewed buttons over the Net. Mashable reports that it is viewed for 22 billion times each day and reaches up to a whopping 7.5 million Web sites where it is embedded.

However, the two buttons are getting a complete redesign by taking out the thumbs sign and replacing it instead with the "f" logo of the giant social network. The new button can be seen right on top of the dialogue box that shows the number of LIKES that you have on your page or every post.

Its colours are also changed from blue on white to white on blue. Another Facebook button which is 'Share' will also be the replacement for the site's Send button.

TechCrunch added that Facebook is set to mix the 'Share' and 'Like' features together in just one embed so as to encourage every Web site to use the two buttons more.

This brand new design is meant for screens of high resolution as per the comment of Facebook's product manager, Peter Yang. The blog post which made the announcement said that the changes will start getting noticed by the coming weeks ahead.

TheNextWeb moreover stated that the redesign of these tiny yet highly significant buttons are highly useful for triggering a higher level of engagement especially when it comes to Facebook pages. It can also help encourage more users to share trending and socially relevant contents found on the Internet.

Despite the news of its redesign, the Facebook thumbs up Like button will forever be embedded already in the minds of the generation who started living fast paced and modern lives with the Internet culture.
