‘Star Wars’ vs. ‘Star Trek’ Fan Made Video Pits James Kirk Against Darth Vader

A new fan made video continues the debate about which sci-fi franchise is better, “Star Wars” or “Star Trek.” The mash up video takes footage from movies of both the franchises and puts them together seamlessly. The video pits two popular characters James T. Kirk and Darth Vader against each other.
Fans were excited to see some of the popular characters in both the franchises and also some of the iconic spaceships from the movies in the video. The video titled “Star Wars VS Star Trek Epic Trailer” appears on the YouTube channel Alex Luthor. The fans passionately debated in the comments section of the video to highlight the strengths of their favourite franchise.
The video begins with the Emperor contacting Darth Vader about “a great disturbance in the Force.” The Emperor talks about a new enemy and footage of the USS Enterprise from the “Star Trek” franchise appears. Fans also get to see the Death Star space station from the “Star Wars” movies in the video.
The task of defeating the Death Star falls on Captain James T. Kirk from “Star Trek.” The video shows the USS Kelvin spaceship being attacked by TIE fighters. Kirk’s father had briefly become the captain of USS Kelvin and had saved hundreds of lives in the movie.
The next scene shows the Emperor ordering Darth Vader to do what is necessary to achieve victory and to not show any mercy to the enemy. The video goes on to show the Death Star, which is capable of destroying an entire planet, approaching the planet Vulcan. The popular character Spock from “Star Trek” is from the planet Vulcan.
Kirk says that the distress call from planet Vulcan is actually an attack and not a rescue mission. The video uses footage from some of the “Star Wars” videogames to show the attack on “Star Trek” ships and characters. The video game character Darth Malgus can also be seen in the video.
The final battle in the video is for the planet Earth. Kirk confronts the Emperor from “Star Wars” and asks him to get out of his chair. Meanwhile Spock from “Star Trek” takes on TIE fighters in a space battle. There is no clear winner in the battle and the video ends with Darth Vader and Kirk and listing the support of Marvel characters and others.
