The first trailer of “Star Wars: Episode 8” will be released in the spring, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy said in a recent interview. Cast member Daisy Ridley had previously speculated that something will be shown in the Celebrations event that will be held in April 2017.

In an interview with BBC journalist Lizo Mzimba, a video of which has been posted on Twitter, Kennedy explained that they are giving some breathing space for the fans before releasing any information about the Rian Johnson film because “Rogue One” has just been released. However, she promised the fans will start to see things in the spring.

In a previous interview with Empire Magazine, Ridley (Rey) said something very similar. She also speculated that the first full trailer will be released during the Celebrations event of the franchise, which will be held between April 13 and 16 in 2017. However, the producers may release a teaser of “Star Wars: Episode 8” long before the event.

While speaking with Games Radar, the cast members of “Rogue One” were asked to speculate on what would be the first line in Johnson’s movie. There will be no time gap this time around, so the first line will probably be that of Rey.

Of all the responses, some of which are really funny, Aussie actor Ben Mendelsohn (Orson Krennic) had an interesting theory. He said that her first word could be “please.” Rey is expected to begin her Jedi training in the next film, and the actor suggested that the first scene could be about her pleading Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to teach her.

The title of “Star Wars: Episode 8” is yet to be revealed, and this will be featured in the first teaser. The full trailer may show Ahch-To, to remind the casual fans that the movie will begin from right where “The Force Awakens” left off.
