Sony recently announced the unveiling of two new smartphones including the Xperia C5 Ultra with twin 13MP autofocus camera and the Xperia M5, which the company calls the "super mid-range" smartphone. Pricing and exact launch date have yet to be announced.

According to the Xperia blog, Sony Hong Kong has listed the Xperia C5 Ultra Dual (E5563). This listing confirms that the handset will be released on Aug. 14. The price of the Xperia C5 Ultra unlocked with dual SIM in Hong Kong would be HK$ 3,298 (AU $576). Initially, the listing mentioned the pre-sales period to start from Aug. 4 to Aug. 11, 2015. Currently, the company’s Hong Kong website shows that the Xperia C5 Ultra handsets are sold out due to an overwhelming response. The Xperia blog also mentions that Hong Kong is one of the inexpensive regions to purchase Sony Xperia devices. Moreover, the device was launched as Sony’s best selfie phone. Xperia C5 Ultra will only be available in selected countries across emerging markets.

The smartphone sports a 6-inch, 1920x1080 resolution IPS LCD display and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 chipset. The handset is packed with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable internal memory. It houses a 2930 mAh battery which the company claims would last for two days. The camera with twin 13MP camera unit has been the major focus of the device and is made to especially target selfie lovers. The rear camera has 25mm wide-angle lens with an 80-degree field of view and offers 4x digital zoom. Both front and back cameras have LED flash. The cameras units include Sony Exmor RS sensor tech, HDR and auto preset modes. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
