The Season 3 finale of “Scandal” saw Olivia Pope getting on a plane -- that her father arranged -- and disappearing from Washington D.C, with Jake beside her, unaware that it was her father, B-613’s Command Rowan Pope, who had ordered the murder of President Fitz’s son. The Season 4 finale, titled “You Can't Take Command,” is expected to feature its own set of shocking twists, possible deaths and craziness, as Olivia and the few good men once again make some moves to take down Rowan.

Speaking about the final episode, Kerry Washington, who plays Olivia on the show, said, as quoted by Variety, “This finale episode, I mean, I just… I turned to Shonda [Rhimes, creator of the show]. I was like, ‘Where do we go from here? Are you for real? Now what?’ It’s crazy.” And Bellamy Young, who plays Mellie, said that the creator has “shown no mercy.”

Meanwhile, the actor who plays Huck, Guillermo Diaz, told People that it is going to be the most ridiculous, explosive finale of the show. He also spilled that the audience can expect to see more than three deaths.

When Entertainment Weekly (EW) asked “Scandal” cast to describe the final episode of Season 4 in a few words, they said the episode is “redonk,” “titillating,” “cataclysmic,” “relentless,” “fantastically open ended” and “drop the mic.”

In addition to Olivia and team versus Rowan’s storyline, the final episode will also focus on the political fate of Mellie. The episode is going to reveal whether Mellie won the Virginia Senate election or not.

ABC has yet to officially confirm “Scandal” Season 5. The show has been doing decent when it comes to ratings and also the cast are not showing any sign of worry. TV Line has reported that “Scandal” getting renewed for Season 5 is a “sure thing.”

“Scandal” Season 4 final episode is scheduled to air on May 14. The show is returning after a week’s break to air the penultimate episode, titled “A Few Good Women,” this Thursday night. The episode will see Vice President Susan Ross hiring Olivia to defend a woman in the navy. She will be again defying the President.
