After the cold response of Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy S6 series, the company is trying its best to make its upcoming S7 series a huge success. The new moves will also be reflected in the handset’s pricing as well.

The extremely competitive high-end smartphone market may prompt Samsung to make its new flagship device much cheaper than its predecessors. According to a report in The Times of India, China-based analyst Pan Jiutang predicted that at launch, the new Galaxy S7 will be almost 10 percent less expensive than the Galaxy S6 .

The S7 might also turn out to be cheaper than other premium handsets of 2016 by Apple, LG, Sony and HTC. This year Samsung faced stiff competition from both high-end market, primarily dominated by Apple and the budget segment swayed away by Xiaomi and Lenovo. Soon after releasing the Galaxy S6 series of smartphones, Samsung had to announce a price cut in order to remain in the market.

It is speculated that the significant price slash will boast the sale of the upcoming flagship specifically in the emerging markets. Samsung is expected to come up with a powerful smartphone with many innovations and design changes.

According to prevailing rumours, the device will feature a 5.2-inch QHD display, Exynos 8890 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage with microSD card expansion. In few markets the device will be sold with the Snapdragon 820 chipset.

With the latest and powerful processors on board, the device will reportedly be faster than Apple’s newest iPhones powered by A9 SoC. The handset will tout a touch sensitive Clear Touch technology from Synaptics, 23MP main camera with Sony's IMX300 sensor and 2,550 mAh battery.
