The Samsung Galaxy S7 that is speculated to release early in 2016 is expected to arrive in four variants. Rumours are rife that the South Korean tech giant will be hiking the price of all the four Galaxy S7 variants as the entire lineup is expected to get a new feature of iris scanner.

According to the well-known leakster, @evleaks, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be arriving in four editions, namely Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Plus, Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus. All the four smartphones are now rumored to arrive with iris scanner feature that will enable users to unlock the device simply by looking at it, Phone Arena reported.

Since different individuals have different patterns in their eyes, the iris scanning feature is set to be one of the most accurate biometric identification technology. The arrival of this new feature will result in the price hike of Galaxy S7 variants.

Among the four variants, the Galaxy S7 will be a regular model that will arrive with a 5.1-inch display whereas the Galaxy S7 Plus will be a larger smartphone that may feature a 6-inch display. The Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus will be dual edge curved smartphones.

As of this writing, there is no rumour available on the features of S7 Edge and S7 Edge Plus editions of Galaxy S7. However, speculations are indicating that both the smartphones will sport the same specs and features as Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, but will also feature dual-edge curved displays.

Rumours are heavily hinting that the Galaxy S7 will be showcased to the world on Feb. 21 through the Samsung Unpacked 2016 event. This event will be held one day prior to Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona. Speculations suggest that after the February unveil, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be available for purchase by March.
