Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 is the latest flagship for Galaxy S Duos series of smartphones. It does not have much upgrade from the Galaxy S Duos 2 aside from the Android version. The Galaxy S Duos runs on android 4.4.2 Kitkat with Samsung's TouchWiz Essence UX. It Features a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) TFT display and it has dual SIM card support. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor and it comes with a 5MP LED flash rear-facing camera and it has a VGA front-facing camera. The Galaxy S Duos 3 has 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and it features a micro SD slot for expansion. It has a battery capacity of up to 1,500 mAh.

The new Android One handsets on the other hand were made to push the use of smartphones to emerging countries. These smartphones will be sold out at very affordable prices and these smartphones will sport a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854x480 pixels) display, quite bigger than the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3. The phones will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processors with 1GB of RAM. The smartphones will have 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via micro SD. The android One phones will sport a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP rear-facing camera. The phones will run on Android 4.4 Kitkat and will have a battery capacity of up to 1,700 mah. The Android One phones will also have dual SIM card support.

The first three phones that was released having Android One platform are Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Dream Uno and the Karbonn Sparkle V. These phones first launched in India and it will soon be available in other emerging countries like the Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal before the year ends. companies like Acer, Alcatel OneTouch, Asus, HTC, Intex, Lava, Lenovo and Panasonic have also pledge to release smartphones on Android One platform, according to Google.

Android One smartphones may have some advantages when it comes to the specs but these phones as mentioned earlier are only available for emerging countries. There are no news yet if these phones will also be released in west but Google has not completed the roll out yet. Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 offers good quality and it comes at a very affordable price as well.
