Australian cities may be one of the top places to live or raise a family, but when it comes to being a vacation spot, only one Australia place was included in a bucket list made by Flight Center.

That place is Palm Cove in Cairns, which was 10th on the list of Top 10 Must See Places in 2015. Palm Cove was cited for its access to the beach, a significant number of dining establishments and being child-friendly. Other important factors that led to Palm Cove's inclusion in the coveted list are the affordable flights to Cairns and its balmy climate all throughout the year.

Making it to the list was based on a compilation made by a team from Flight Centre Australia on customer inquiries and what the travel industry is pushing for the incoming year, said Tom Walley, head of Flight Centre Australia.

The list is a mixture of destinations in Europe, Asia, South America and Oceania.

Here is their top 10 list:

1. Santiago

2. Tokyo

3. Barcelona

4. Gallipoli

5. Boracay

6. Honolulu

7. London

8. Vanuatu

9. Gili Island

10. Palm Cove.

Gallipoli is not in Australia but in Turkey. However, the place has a special spot in the hearts of Australians because it where ANZAC troops landed and 2015 is the centennial of the Gallipoli landing which should result in Aussies booking flights to Turkey.
