"X-Men" star James Marsden, 40, and English actor Rupert Friend, 32, have been selected to replace the late Paul Walker in the leading roles in the two films, "The Best Of Me" and "Agent 47."

Walker died in a tragic car accident on Nov. 30, after hosting a charity event for ROWW in Santa Clarita, Calif. At the time of his death, "The Fast and the Furious" star had leading roles lined up in his forthcoming movies, "The Best Of Me" and " Agent 47" .

According to a report in Express UK, Marsden has been offered with the protagonist role in film, "The Best Of Me," based on a best-selling novel of the same title authored by Nicholas Sparks published in 2011. He will star with Michelle Monaghan in the movie.

He starred in 2006's "Superman," played Scott Summers and his doppelganger Cyclops in the first three "X-Men films." He currently can be seen in "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," and just completed shooting "Business Trip" with co-star Vince Vaughn.

According to a report on Thursday in Variety, Friend has been offered the lead role of a murderer in "Agent 47," which is remake of the 2007 movie "Hitman" starring Timothy Olyphant. The film "Hitman" was based on the Hitman video game series about a cloned assassin known as Agent 47. He has agreed to take on the role and the deal has been negotiated. Friend is best known for playing the role of Peter Quinn in Showtime's much loved and critically acclaimed television drama "Homeland."

Reportedly, Cody Walker, Paul's brother, will replace him in the movie "Fast & Furious 7" as it was in the middle of production when Paul died. Paul's character Brian O'Conner in "Fast & Furious 7" would not be exterminated but would be retired. The movie is set for release April 10, 2015.
