“Outlander” star Caitriona Balfe has come a long way in her career. A new report examines her journey so far, which started with modeling. Meanwhile, cast member Scott Kyle has pointed out a picture of a deleted scene in Season 2 from the Battle of Prestonpans.

Balfe (Claire) was born in Dublin. Before becoming an actress she worked as a model with major designers like Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, and Marc Jacobs, Entertainment Weekly reports. Her big breakthrough for the small screen came with her role as Elizabeth Lamb in the movie “Super 8.” She later went on to star in “The Beauty Inside,” “Lost Angeles” and “H+.” She was also cast in big budget movies like “Now You See Me” and “Escape Plan.”

The Starz TV series put Balfe on the global map, with fans from different nations appreciating her for her portrayal of a strong character like Claire. The first two seasons of “Outlander” have already been completed and the fans are now eagerly waiting for Season 3.

Behind the scenes photos from the set were previously posted on the Twitter page of Real SFX. One particular picture caught the attention of cast member Scott Kyle (Ross) recently. Commenting on the picture, the actor said that it was from episode 10 of the second season that featured the Battle of Prestonpans.

The Highlanders won an impressive victory in the Battle of Prestonpans. Kyle revealed that the behind the scenes picture is that of Ross killing the British soldier who had previously killed Kincaid (Gregor Firth).

Filming of “Outlander” Season 3 has already begun. The show is set to return in 2017. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date. The Battle of Culloden will be featured in the next season, with Jamie (Sam Heughan) taking part in the action.
