A new picture of “Outlander” season 4 has surfaced online. The picture is a still from one of the episodes in the next season, and it appears to be the house of the new character Aunt Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy).

Jocasta Cameron is Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) aunt who lives in America. She is the youngest sister of Colum (Gary Lewis) and Dougal MacKenzie (Graham McTavish). A strong woman who is rich and has political connections, Aunt Jocasta is a plantation owner who lives in River Run.

A new picture that has been posted on Twitter by Production Designer Jon Gary Steele appears to tease Aunt Jocasta’s home. This is a huge mansion estate. A few extras can be seen chatting near the main entrance. Visiting the house is an unmistakable character in a tricorne hat, which should be Jaime visiting his aunt.

The house may remind the fans of old houses in Arkansas, and that is because the production designer and his team spent some time looking at old photos of houses in Arkansas and Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park.

The house is actually a facade that was built at a filming location in Scotland. The interiors were all shot on stage at the studio in Glasgow. Steele revealed that they wanted old trees in this exterior set, to give the impression that the house has been there for a long time. The “greens team” apparently spent weeks on this set to get the greenery right.

Meanwhile, “Outlander” book series author Diana Gabaldon shared a video on Facebook that shows the love of the fans for the show and their excitement about the next season. The video shows a compilation of all the nice comments on Twitter by the fans, and these comments form the background of the newly released poster of season 4.
