The CW Network made another crossover happen between "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals." Actress Nina Dobrev, who appeared in "The Originals" Season 2, episode 5 titled "Red Door," talked about her doppelganger character Tatia as well as her work experience with the cast and crew of the spinoff series.

Nina Dobrev, 25, revealed in an exclusive ETonline interview that she immediately answered "yes" to Julie Plec when the executive producer approached her about the crossover episode. The TVD actress further admitted that she had a great time working on "The Originals" set with her former co-stars like Joseph Morgan (Klaus Mikaelson) and Daniel Gillies (Elijah Mikaelson).

"I reunited with a lot of people that I haven't got to see in a while and people what I hadn't worked with in a while and it was really fun," Dobrev shared. The actress pointed out that "The Originals" set has a different vibe compared to "The Vampire Diaries" which she described as a "very well-oiled machine."

"We're six seasons in and everything's kind of like dialed in," Dobrev explained. Executive producer Michael Narducci also talked about Nina Dobrev's guest appearance and performance in "The Originals" Season 2, episode 5 titled "Red Door" even though Tatia only appeared in Elijah's memories.

According to a Zap2It report, Michael Narducci described Nina Dobrev's doppelganger character as Elijah's kryptonite. "Being a vampire is unnatural; he can go into the body of a witch and have a more natural life, according to Esther. And so to convince him of this, she needs to confront him with the very thing that is -- if I can borrow from the DC mythology -- his kryptonite," Narducci explained.

In "Red Door," Esther (Sonja Sohn) made Elijah weak by reminding him the monstrous thing that he did to the woman he loved. The executive producer teased that Esther's plan to break Elijah down completely is a big part of the Original vampire's story as the TV series move forward.

"The Originals" Season 2 airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network. Meanwhile, the fans can catch actress Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 that airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET also on the CW Network.
