Complications and relationship troubles lurk around Ramsay Street on the upcoming episode of “Neighbours.” On Wednesday, Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey) and Mark Brennan’s (Scott McGregor) seem to have worked out their differences and resume their closeness.

As the two bond over her pregnancy, Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) appears to cast doubt on their friendship. Dee Bliss / Andrea Somers (Madeleine West) decides to take advantage of the situation and feed Toadie’s jealousy. “Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Wednesday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Mark gets excited after learning that he’s having a baby girl. He hesitates but tells Sonya that it may be the right time to discuss names. Sonya is surprised as she didn’t think she’d be involved in that process. Mark suggests naming the baby Caitlin after Kate, his ex-girlfriend. “She meant a lot to me,” he says.

Digital Spy reports that Sonya and Mark grow closer as they go further with her pregnancy. Their closeness bothers Toadie and he begins to think something may be going on between the two. Andrea, who has her own dark motives, seems to fuel the fire by casting doubt on Sonya and Mark’s friendship.

The March 1 episode also centres on Steph, who appears to be on the verge of suffering another breakdown. It seems the recent events in her life – the breakup, the surrogacy and the mysterious attack – are all taking their toll on her relationship with Victoria. Terese, on the other hand, puts her investigative skills to work as she tries to find out what is Udagawa’s beef against Leo.

“Neighbours” recap

On Tuesday, Toadie confided in on Karl about his growing attraction to Fake Dee. Karl assured him that it’s natural to feel that way but he should try his hardest not to act on these feelings. Rather, Karl told him to focus on his current partner, Sonya. Later, Toadie asked to meet with Andrea to talk about his involvement in Willow’s life. Their conversation shifted to their own feelings for each other and he blurted out that he has never stopped loving her. However, he said they need to deal with it and move on.

Sonya spotted Elly giving a massage to Mark and assumed that the two are hooking up. Later, Sonya shared with Steph about what she saw. Steph also suspected that something’s going on between Elly and Mark and decided to ask Tyler about it. Later, Elly and Mark got quite physical as she helped him do yoga. Tyler walked in and started seeing Steph’s point. When Elly left, Tyler told his brother about Steph’s assumption and Mark got infuriated.

Steph approached Elly and told her to stay away from Mark. Elly insisted that she’s not interested in Mark romantically and that she’s just friends with him. She also said she won’t leave Mark when he needs her the most. Later, Mark barged in the Rebecchis’ house and asked to talk to Steph. He was clearly livid as he ordered Steph to butt out of his life. Sonya interrupted and told Mark that she was the one who suspected he’s dating Elly. Sonya also started questioning Mark’s capability to be a good father, leaving Mark devastated.

At Harold’s, Piper asked for Willow’s help in making fake IDs. Despite her hesitations, Willow eventually agreed. Seeing how good Willow was in creating the fake IDs, Piper proposed doing it as a temporary business until they earn enough money to get by. Willow, however, refused to be part of it – she didn’t want to risk anything that would jeopardise her future studies. Later, however, Willow found out that her mum spent all their emergency money to buy clothes and shoes to make her more attractive for Toadie. While babysitting Nell, Willow asked Piper to come over and said she changed her mind about the fake IDs. A risky deal was made between the two.
