“NCIS: New Orleans” season 2 was back with its fall finale episode titled, “Blue Christmas.” The episode focused on the case of Christmas burglaries picked up by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service ("NCIS”) team, including Special Agent-in-Charge Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula), Special Agent Meredith "Merri" Brody (Zoe McLellan), Special Agent and Senior Field Agent Christopher LaSalle (Lucas Black), Forensic Scientist Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich) and Dr. Loretta Wade (CCH Pounder).

The CBS synopsis dropped earlier this month revealed that “a string of Christmas burglaries will take a deadly turn and the evidence will lead the "NCIS" team to Loretta Wade’s adopted son, Danny (Christopher Meyer).

In this episode, the “NCIS” team learns about the alarming rate of deadly burglaries in New Orleans the team members follow the hints and it leads the officers to Danny. The “NCIS” team considers Danny to be the prime suspect of the deadly burglaries

However, Wade entered the scene to protect her son as she believed that she couldn’t afford to take any sort of risks with the NOPD. The team then finds out that a first responder had called the Master-at-arms. The radar then fell upon Danny’s friend from the neighborhood – Alonzo.

The team picks up the hints and goes on to find the prime suspect Sofia (Erica Dasher). The case lacked the sense of mystery and turned out to be highly predictable as the episode began with a big revelation of the death of Sofia’s biological mother. This made it pretty obvious that Sofia was somehow linked to the death of her stepmother.

Sofia too showed no interest in hiding her role in the burglary as she readily confessed.

Amidst the hullaballoo of the crimes in New Orleans, the town was riding high on the holiday spirit owing to Christmas. The “NCIS” team too was shown gearing up for their Secret Santa exchange.

Team members Sonja Percy (Shalita Grant) chose Dwayne Pride for the Secret Santa exchange. LaSalle and Brody wasted no time in teasing Sonja about it. The team enjoyed Christmas at Pride’s nearly opened bar after wrapping up the case.
