Nathaniel Buzolic: Web Series 'The Originals: Awakening' First Look Teases Aussie Actor As Kol Mikaelson Waking Up In New Orleans [WATCH VIDEO]

The upcoming Web series titled "The Originals: Awakening" teased the fans with a first look on Australian actor Nathaniel Buzolic returning as Kol Mikaelson. The four-part Web series will focus on the Original vampire when he wakes up in 1914 and tries to form an alliance with the witches in New Orleans.

An exclusive first look from Target shows the beginning of Kol's story in the first segment of "The Originals: Awakening." A female narrator recounts the happy time in New Orleans where the skies were clear and liquor flowed until something happened and it changed everything.

According to the narrator, curse after curse befell the city and signs of a war waged between two factions of witches after Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) woke up his brother, Kol, from an 80-year slumber. The video trailer ends with Kol Mikaelson grabbing a blonde woman, who was walking alone, and then smirks at her. Watch the exclusive first look for "The Originals: Awakening" below.

In an Entertainment Weekly report, the CW Network further teased that the fans will finally find out through the upcoming Web series how and why Kol ended up in disagreement with his siblings, why Klaus daggered him and the history that he has with the witches of New Orleans. "The Originals" writer Carina MacKenzie, who also worked on the Web series, admitted that she got excited after finding out that they will further explore into Kol Mikaelson's backstory and mischievous behavior.

"I had a great time working with him- he's hilarious, and just steps right back into Kol so brilliantly. And he's a really, really good sport about getting positively drenched in fake blood," MacKenzie shared about working with Aussie actor Nathaniel Buzolic in an E!News report. The Web series is set to run parallel to "The Originals" Season 2 storyline until it ties into the spinoff series' mid-season finale episode in December.

In "The Originals" Season 2, "Teen Wolf" star Daniel Sharman portrays the role of the Mikaelson sibling who inhabits the body of a teenage witch named Kaleb. The fans can watch Nathaniel Buzolic's return as Kol Mikaelson in "The Originals: Awakening" which will premiere on Monday night, Nov. 10, on cwtv.com during the east coast airing of "The Originals" Season 2 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
