Monica Spear and her ex-husband Thomas Henry Berry were holidaying in their native home in Venezuela before they were cruelly shot to death during a robbery in front of their five-year-old daughter, Maya.

The unpleasant incident took place near the town of Puerto Cabello. The family was travelling to the city of Valencia when two anonymous gunmen attacked and shot the couple to death and injured their daughter. She was posting amazing photos and videos from her trip on her Twitter page. It's so miserable that her life ended in such an atrocious manner. While the family was enjoying nature during the break, she shared a video on Instagram with a caption, "La magia de los llanos," which translates to "The magic of the plains."

Former beauty queen and actress' fans took to Twitter to express grief over her tragic death and commented on her post. We have here compiled some of the best comments:

On Tuesday afternoon, Venezuelan authorities announced that municipal Waterford Police arrested five youths, including two minors, who were suspects in murder of Monica Spear and Thomas Henry Berry. Reports suggested the couple's gray 2002 Toyota Corolla crashed and was being lifted by the crane at the time of the carnage.

"The car was already on the crane platform when they were intercepted by the subjects who shot and wounded the couple 's child," the police said. Reportedly, the remains of the couple were transported to the Department of Forensic Pathology, Central Hospital of Valencia for autopsy.
