At the end of the second season of “Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) found himself struggling to regroup and look for more Inhumans after the devastating Battle of New York. Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) will be more determined than ever to know the truth about the mysterious absence of Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge).

In the third season of “Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” the team will continue to look for more people with powers, or Inhumans, after their great battle against Jiaying (Dichen Lachman) and her army of Inhumans. Coulson and Agent Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) will discover that there are also others who are looking for the new Inhumans.

Coulson will attempt to reform the group, at the same time, cope with the loss of his hand. Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) is still on vacation with her former husband Dr. Andrew Garner (Blair Underwood). Agent Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) is still recovering after being tortured by Grant Ward (Brett Dalton). Fitz is focused on finding out the truth behind the sudden disappearance of Simmons. Everyone is also cautious about Ward and Hydra’s next move.

In the third season of “Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Matt Willig will take on the role of Lash, one of the newest Inhumans. ComicBook.com states that Lash was created as Inhuman #1 in 2014 by writer Charles Soule and artist Joe Madureira. Lash is a large and powerful beast that originated from Orollan. He can expel energy as well as absorb it. The new Inhumans still do not have full understanding and control over their powers.

There will also be new characters who will appear, such as the leader of the Advanced Threat Containment Unit ( ATCU), portrayed by Constance Zimmer, Banks (Andrew Howard) and a new Inhuman named Joey (Juan Pablo Raba).

Coulson, together with Daisy and Mack (Henry Simmons), will collaborate to form a stronger team by mixing the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with powerful individuals. Their ultimate goal is to protect the innocent against new dangers.

“Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” was co-created by Joss Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon. It is produced by ABC Studios, Marvel Television and Mutant Enemy Productions. Season 3 of “Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9/8c on ABC.
