The rumours regarding unannounced features coming with the PS4 Firmware Update 2.0 appears to be true as the full list of patch notes has finally been released. Some players who may have downloaded the update early on may have noticed that a few more features have made it to the PS4 Firmware Update 2.0.

DualShockers has the full list of patches, and some of the additional improvements are worth taking a look at. In addition to the already announced features, there are added ones related to setting the charging time of your DualShocker 4 when the PS4 is in rest mode, viewing commands for voice operation of the PS4 and more adjustments in the Settings department.

Other new feature include the ability to record a voice message and the ability to check on the battery charge when you connect a new device to your PS4. General improvements include the layout of the Party screen, inclusion of the PS Button in some notification messages, changes in the number of displayed content items in the homescreen

The Share feature on the PS4 has also seen a lot of changes, and this is apart from the Share Play feature. Through Share, you can now view past broadcasts, filter broadcast by language, follow your favorite broadcasters or channels, browse through recommended broadcasts by friends or those you follow and display messages to spectators. Those using Twitch can also expect icons to be displayed in comments. Inclusion in part voice chats in broadcasts is now enabled, as well as the ability to adjust settings on the PlayStation Camera.

While downloading the PS4 Firmware Update 2.0, players may feel some of the traffic weighing down on them. According to Segment Next, PS users have reported that they were unable to sign in to PSN after the update. This has already been seen and commented on Sony via PlayStation community manager Chris Owen.

"There is a little bit of network instability at the moment, engineers are investigating," he said in an announcement via Twitter, as quoted by Segment Next.

Access to the PSN because the new features of the PS4 firmware update 2.0 require signing in to the PSN, such as the big feature Share Play and the addition of the YouTube app. Considering that Sony has already noted the problem, a solution is probably underway.

The PS4 is not the only PlayStation device that's due an update. Sony has also recently released the software update for the PS Vita. While it is less touted and anticipated, PS Vita users may want to know the upcoming features of the System Software update 3.35.

Softpedia has listed the new features, which are mostly a way to link the PS Vita with the newly released PlayStation TV and the PS4. The first is that up to four people can now be logged in at the same time using Remote Play on the PS TV.

Another feature is the ability to adjust the video quality for Remote Play when connected to the PS TV system. All you have to do is Select PS4 Link, then press Start > Optional. Go to Settings then Select Video Quality for Remote Play. To effectively use Remote Play, it is also advised that your PS4 should have at least the 1.70 version or higher for its system software.
