Lady Gaga, the You and I singer, is going to be performing on a commercial Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo in early 2015. She insists to have David Bowie, the Starman singer, on board with her through a live video link.

A source told Daily Mirror that Lady Gaga, real name being Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, wants David to perform with her because she knows what a legend he is, and if he does join her, it would be an amazing talking point. Now everyone's eyes are on David Bowie to see if he will agree to perform with her.

The source also added that the organisers would be ready to give him a fortune, but whether he'd agree to it or not will be another matter altogether.

The Space Oddity singer hasn't gone on a tour since 2004 because of a heart attack on stage, and his last live performance was in 2006 for a charity event, along with Alicia Keys, so it is unclear if he would accept Lady Gaga's request.

In 2013, David Bowie, father-of-two, refused to play at the Olympic Park in East London for a staggering multi-million pound offer.

Lady Gaga is very excited about her one-song performance in the Zero G Colony festival, a three-day festival at Spaceport America, whether or not Bowie joins her. She said that she couldn't wait to perform in space and design the performance because she would be the first recording artist to sing in space.

A source told US Weekly that he would have to undergo one month of vocal training because of the atmosphere. Her entourage would also be accompanying her on the flight.

The announcement of Gaga performing in space coincided with the release of her new space-themed song titled Venus which has a few references to aliens and would take her listeners on a techno trip through the solar system.

One seat in the Virgin Galactic flight that goes into space in 2015 costs almost 150,000 pounds and 700 passengers have booked their seats for this trip of two minutes of weightlessness.
