The ugly war between an Australian photographer and singer Katy Perry has taken a new turn. Katy Perry has made fun of the private parts and "a rather large gut" of Sydney based photographer, Jamie Fawcett. The "high profile" Sydney paparazzo has issued a legal letter to the "Roar" singer, claiming that her Twitter post regarding him is defamatory and that she should take it down.

Perry, who is visiting Australia for her Prismatic World Tour, lashed out at the Australian media this week for allegedly harassing and stalking her as she was trying to enjoy a stroll on a beach. The singer shared with her more than 60 million fans on Twitter that she was followed by many "disgusting, perverted and old" men as she went out on a beach. The singer said she "pleaded" with the photographers to leave her alone but no one paid any heed to her.

A furious Perry also took pictures of the paparazzi who were chasing her and posted their pictures on Twitter. Read more here. "They told me to make a 'deal' with them. Give them a bathing suit shot and they would leave me be," said the actress in her Tweet.

"Remember AUS anyone printing or posting unauthorized photos of me in a bikini from these DISGUSTING/PERVERTED OLD MEN is AGAINST my will!," Perry wrote on Twitter over the weekend. Check out her Tweets here.

Though Jamie's picture is not among the ones that Perry posted, she took an aim at him by taking his name. Perry told Fawcett on Twitter that she has pictures of his "tiny penis" and "large gut." Check out the tweet below.

Also remember Jamie Fawcett we hv pictures of ur tiny penis & rather large gut. Ur a true sicko for taking pictures of us while being naked.

According to smh.com.au, Jamie has sent a legal notice to the "Teenage Dream" singer where he claims Perry's Tweet contained an "implied threat" directed at him. The paparazzo also issued a warning to Perry, telling her not to publish any of his pictures and to take down all the defamatory posts. The 28-year-old singer is currently on her 23-day Australian leg of Prismatic World Tour. She has given performances in Sydney and Melbourne. Perry's Prismatic World Tour will come to an end in Europe in January.
