John Travolta, one-half of action film "Killing Season"

Bonafide Hollywood legends Robert De Niro and John Travolta are teaming up for action film "Killing Season". The film intends to begin production in January 2012, shooting in the Appalachian Mountains. This will be the first time that the two screen veterans have appeared in a production together.

In the film, De Niro will play the role of a military veteran who lives in an isolated cabin in the mountains. He is visited by Travolta's character who is posing as a European tourist but is actually a former soldier from Serbia who is intent on revenge.

The film will be produced by both Millenium Films and Corsan pictures. Millennium have been responsible for action films such as "Rambo" and "The Expendables" and will release "The Expendables 2" next year, also due to star John Travolta.

"It's thrilling, imaginative, unexpected and dominated by two extraordinary characters on a collision course," said Corsan CEO Paul Breuls. The script is written by Evan Daugherty, who scripted the forthcoming "Snow White and the Huntsman", and directed by Mark Steven Johnson who took the helm for "Ghost Rider".

"We've never seen these two great actors on screen together before, and we're excited to see what comes of the combination." said the Co-chairman of Millenium Films Avi Lerner.
