J.K. Rowling, the author of the “Harry Potter” series, has made a revelation about the history of the Potter family on “Pottermore.” In the latest update, Rowling has introduced the grandparents of Harry Potter.

According to the latest breakthrough, Harry’s grandfather Fleamont invented Sleekeazy's Hair Potion and was also the face behind one of the most significant inventions at that tie. The Potter family was very influential at that time.

Rowling also shocked the Potter fans by disclosing that Linfred, another ancient relative of Harry Potter, also made certain inventions that helped in making several other vital wizarding potions. However, despite his ancient relative’s distinction in Herbology, Harry Potter could not manage to excel in this aspect of wizardry.

The “Harry Potter” author also revealed how James (Potter’s father), came into the possession of the invisibility cloak. The avid followers of “Harry Potter” series were in for a shock as Rowling has revealed that a Potter married a witch in the 12th century. The witch’s family secretly passed down the cloak to each eldest child of the hierarchy.

The fans were also delighted to see that the Pottermore website was redesigned with a new layout. Several pages of unpublished text and the sales resource for e-book and audiobook versions of the seven Harry Potter novels are now available at Pottermore.

This website is a result of the collaboration between author J.K. Rowling and Sony. However, an announcement made in April, 2014 disclosed that Pottermore has concluded its partnership with Sony and the website will undergo an overhaul.

On Tuesday, Pottermore was completely revamped and almost all the features of the site were removed. The upgraded version of the site concentrates majorly on the information available.
