Jenson Button and wife Jessica Michibata attended the wedding of his manager, Richard Goddard. It was the first time that Button and Michibata were pictured together in public since they were burgled during a vacation in St. Tropez last week.

Button and Michibata were among the guests at Castle Cornet for Goddard’s wedding on Aug. 10, Guernsey Press reported. The 2009 Formula One (F1) World Drivers’ Champion arrived in a navy suit matched with dotted blue tie while his better half sported a bright orange dress for the occasion.

The celebrity couple, who married in December 2014, was joined by other guests including 2001 F1 World Drivers’ Championship runner-up David Coulthard and former Formula 3 Euroseries champion Paul di Resta. Button’s former Team Principal Ross Brawn was also in attendance at the said matrimonial ceremony.

Over the weekend, burglars broke into the rented French villa where Button, his wife, and some friends resided. Button was convinced that the perpetrators made use of anaesthetic gas to carry out the robbery. Gas was reportedly pumped into the air conditioning units to make them unconscious.

The burglars managed to steal a number of valuable items including Michibata’s engagement ring. The celebrity couple only found out that they were burgled the next morning and immediately left the villa after they spoke with French authorities.

Meanwhile, Button’s manager said that Button refused to be bothered by the burglary incident that happened while the 35-year-old British racing driver was vacationing in St. Tropez, according to a report by GPToday. Ahead of the 11th round of the 2015 F1 season set to be held at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on Aug. 23, Goddard said that Button will not let the incident have an effect on his next race at the Belgian Grand Prix.
