Actor Jeff Ward has officially been announced to be part of the cast of the upcoming season of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” The news was revealed a few weeks after filming had officially begun for season 5 of the Marvel series by ABC.

Fans might find it hard to guess what Ward’s role is. This is because little is known about what could take place in the fifth season. The fourth season left viewers with a cliffhanger. What's known as of now is that Coulson and the rest of the team will be in outer space. This will directly affect the number of characters they will be interacting with while not on Earth, unless they cross paths with aliens along the way.

Ward has reportedly signed up for a multi-episode arc in Season 5. However, the identity of the “Manson’s Lost Girls” star’s character is yet to be revealed, Screen Rant writes. While he did a good job playing Charles Manson in his previous project, he also had numerous roles in TV movies and guest appearances in “The Mentalist,” “Rosewood” and “Body of Proof.” Ward has also signed up to take on the role of Seth, the male lead in SyFy’s “Channel Zero: The No End House.”

The role of Krees in the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe is not yet clear, but it looks like they will be seen on the small screen in the upcoming season. Comicbook.com says there will be a lot of things happening in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it enters Phase Three when “Avengers: Infinity War” airs next year.

While the first instalment of Infinity War comes out, Captain Marvel will make her presence known when her solo movie comes out. This could mean a bigger and richer storyline when the Krees and Skrulls start a war.

The clamour amongst fans to have a feature on the war between the Krees and the Skrulls has been strong. As “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” heads into its fifth season, viewers might see the Marvel Universe get stretched to boundaries never see before. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” airs on ABC in the US. In Australia, it airs on SyFy.
