"American Pie" actor Jason Biggs slammed the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf shop in Los Angeles on the social networking site Twitter for placing Paul Walker-inspired tip jars. Jason, 35, sounded upset in his tweet as he described the movie tip jars to be an exploitive gimmick following the tragic death of actor Paul Walker whom he worked with in the 2006 film "Eight Below."

"Umm, am I crazy, or does this seem exploitive and in poor taste? @CoffeeBeanLA," posted Jason Biggs on his Twitter account @JasonBiggs. Jason attached the captured image showing the two tip jars labeled with Paul Walker's movies, the first one is marked "Fast and Furious" while the second jar has "Varsity Blues" posted.

According to the Daily News, it appears the jars were placed for customers to put in their tip money while choosing which Paul Walker film they liked more. Click HERE to see Jason Biggs' Twitter photo on the Paul Walker tip jars.

Jason's concern over the issue reached the Coffee Bean franchise and the company personally responded to the tweet that the actor posted on Wednesday, December 4. The Coffee Bean wrote using Twitter account @TheCoffeeBean: "@JasonBiggs This is completely inconsistent w/our brand values & the jars have since been removed. Thank you 4 bringing this 2 our attention."

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf shop continued to apologize over the insensitive tip jars with an extensive statement. "This is completely inconsistent with our brand values and the jars have since been removed. Our thoughts and condolences remain with the many friends and family of Paul Walker during this difficult time. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf would like to thank Jason Biggs for bringing this matter to our attention," reads the issued statement in the Business Insider report.

Davidoff, a fragrance company, also issued an apology statement after getting slammed for airing the ad that features "Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker during a UK soccer game on December 1, just a day after his tragic death.

"We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family, friends and fans around the world. We are working quickly to suspend all of our ads featuring Paul out of respect to his family and friends. We apologize for any upset that may have been caused by those that were aired subsequent to his death," stated CEO Michele Scannavini in the Contactmusic.com report.
