In this week’s episode of “Jane The Virgin,” Rafael finally finds out that his father Emilio is dead. He also learns that his stepmother Rose is behind his death. Both Rafael and his sister Luisa also learn that the notorious criminal “Sin Rostro is in fact Rose and not their father. Here’s a recap of the events in episode 14 of “Jane The Virgin.”

Luisa is fed up of being stuck in the mental institution. Although she is angry at Rose for putting her there, Luisa is still concerned about her former lover and stepmother. She suspects that Rose might be in danger if her father Emilio is actually a criminal. Luisa hatches an escape plan while her brother Rafael is working on a way to get her out. Their plans come to fruition at the same time and Rafael manages to bring Luisa home. When she looks through her personal effects from the hospital, she finds a letter from Rose explaining who she is and apologising about killing her father. Luisa leads the police to the pool where she concludes her father is buried after the cryptic letter from Rose.
When Emilio’s body is discovered, Rafael is devastated. He needs to bury his father and at the same time, he needs to stop his ex-wife Petra from taking over the hotel. Petra’s ex-boyfriend Milos bought a third of the hotel for her and now she is plotting to gain control. Rafael talks to his sister about turning over her shares to him so that he can have sufficient shares to outvote Petra. Unfortunately for him, Luisa assumes he only took her out of the mental institution so that he can ask her for her shares. Luisa then decides to assign her voting rights to Petra instead of him.
While Rafael is dealing with his family problems, he and Jane are also getting ready for their baby shower. Jane realises that she doesn’t know much about Rafael and points this out to him. Their relationship is tested further when Jane sees Rafael doing some shady things. She discovers that Rafael has been hiding Aaron, Roman Zazo’s brother in the hotel. Roman was murdered earlier in the season and Rafael has been trying to get hold of his brother ever since. When Jane and her ex-fiance Michael confront Rafael, they discover that Aaron is in hiding from the Mexican cartel and Rafael saved his life. Rafael is offended that Jane didn’t trust him enough to know that he isn’t doing anything wrong.
In the end, the two patch things up and declare their love for each other. The episode ends with love in the air in true telenovela style. Jane’s mom Xiomara and her dad Rogelio finally muster the courage to express their feeling for each other. More importantly, Rafael decides to take a big step by asking Jane to move in with him. Watch out for her reply in the next episode of “Jane The Virgin” which airs on Monday, March 9 on The CW.
