Ivee Voice is up for pre-order on Indiegogo at $99

Ivee Voice is a voice-activated home assistant like Amazon’s Echo that enables users to control their homes. The company developed the digital voice assistant on crowdfunding website Indiegogo with a goal of US$50,000. The device is 86 percent funded with 33 days remaining.
Ivee Voice features multi-room support allowing users to keep inter-connected Ivee devices in different rooms. One can control any device from any part of the house. The device is compatible with a range of products like SmartThings, WeMo, Philips Hue, Nest Learning Thermostat, Lowe’s Iris, Wink, and Logitech Harmony. It’s also compatible with services including Uber and Spotify.

The devices can be wirelessly connected to the Ivee Voice that can seamlessly execute voice commands. The device not only listens, it also replies. Omni-directional far-field microphone technology enables the Ivee Voice to respond to commands from up to a distance of 15 feet.
Simply say “Turn off my kitchen lights” or “Call me an Uber” and Ivee will perform these tasks. It makes use of advanced Natural Language Speech processing to recognise a voice.
Ivee Voice works with both Android and iOS. Users can customise all the connected devices with help of the easy to use Ivee app.
Ivee Voice can read a book, hail a cab, turn on the TV, lower the temperature of the air conditioner, lower the blinds, dim the lights and play music. It can also provide on-demand traffic and weather updates, reports USA Today.
The latest voice assistant from Ivee seems to have an edge over its main competitor, Amazon’s Echo, on account of Ivee’s range of device compatibility. Echo is compatible with select Belkin WeMo switches, Philips Hue lights and Wink products.
But Amazon Echo, which is priced at $179.99 (AU$256), is supported by Amazon Music, Prime Music, Pandora, iHeartRadio and TuneIn for playing music. In the meantime, Amazon updated it product range and now users can control Insteon Hub-controlled lighting and devices through Amazon Echo.
Ivee Voice can be pre-ordered on Indiegogo for $99 (AU$141). The device is expected to be shipped by June 2016. Ivee Voice will be shipped to Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, New Zealand, EU (all 28 countries), Norway, Switzerland, Peru, Mexico and the United States.
