'Gotham' season 3 spoilers: New video clips hint at new super team with Edward Nygma and Barbara Kean; Nygma turns vengeful

'Gotham' returns to FOX in January 15, 2017

Christmas may be approaching fast, but the folks over at Gotham appear to be quite far from being jolly and excited. It looks like pain, revenge and some transformations are going to be witnessed by viewers of “Gotham” in the episodes that are about to air for the rest of the third season.

The amount of teasers so far for “Gotham” has been very intriguing and exciting at the same time. What makes it interesting is that pieces are being teased bit by bit and everyone who watches the show already knows by now that the show is about to take a 180 degree turn very soon, more particularly with Edward Nygma.

Gotham’s official Twitter account teases with some cryptic hints about which, nobody knows about what they point out to at this point. In one tweet captioned “The new super team,” Barbara Kean is seen taunting closely someone who appears to be no other than Edward Nygma. She tells him “Think about it Ed. Your brains, your brawn, mine... me...” While that is still very vague for now, fans could not avoid but think that indeed, an evil team up will be on the rise when “Gotham” returns on January.

In another Twitter post, Edward Nygma is seen mumbling intensely as he says the words “I want to destroy him.” The post was captioned “180 degree turnaround.” Everyone who knows who Nygma is had always known that he was bound to become a bad guy sooner or later. Now that he gets fuming, and that a complete turnaround has been teased, could this be the time for such? How things unfold for Nygma as he transforms into "The Riddler” remains to be seen on the show.

With The Joker on his way back all the way from the grave and with Edward Nygma about to go through the same path, it looks like Commissioner Gordon and Young Bruce have to start rearing themselves about what is to come their way. While bad guys have their way, the good guys know a better way around.

“Gotham” will return on January 15 on FOX. It can also be watched in Australia in SyFy.
