“The Flash” Season 1, Episode 14 is showing more Firestorm action when it airs on The CW on Feb. 17. Meanwhile, Barry-Caitlin shippers are growing from fans of the TV show. Fan-posted video clips from Episode 12 (“Crazy For You”) have pulled a sum of over two hundred thousand pageviews, so far.

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Dr Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) share some romantic comedy moments in “The Flash” Season 1, Episode 12. Gustin, a “Glee” alum, sings for the first time in this episode. Later in the episode, a very drunk Caitlin asks Barry to stay in her room until she falls asleep.

The Barry-Caitlin rom-com moments in Flash 1x12 came as a result of Barry moving on from Iris; Caitlin, from Ronnie. Show boss Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly it’s only “an inadvertent date.” What followed was Barry’s real date with Linda Park.

“Our iteration of Linda, she’s a spark plug. She’s a firecracker. She’s a lot of fun. She’s ballsy and she speaks her mind. She’s cool. Barry can’t kind of believe that somebody like her is interested in him. Barry suddenly having somebody like that in his life will cause the other women in his life to maybe see a little green,” Kreisberg told EW.

Since Kreisberg said “women,” fans are wondering whether he meant Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards of “Arrow”) and Iris (Candice Patton), or the two and Dr Snow. TV.com has published a Barry Allen shipper survey on the subject.

The Barry-Caitlin fandom is developing even as Barry has started dating Linda Park (“The Flash” Season 1, Episode 12), and half-of-Firestorm Ronnie Raymond has been somewhat reunited with Caitlin (Episode 13). For DC Comics fans, however, Barry Allen should be with Iris West, just like in the DC universe.

In “The Flash” Season 1, Episode 14, however, Barry’s love life is far from the highlight of the story. For one, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) now know that Barry’s blood – or his blood from the future – was in Nora Allen’s crime scene.

Incidentally, Henry Allen (John Wesley Shipp, “The Flash” of the 1990s TV) subtly tells Barry in “The Flash” Season 1, Episode 12 that he knows who the red streak is.

In “The Flash” Episode 13, Barry and Caitlin go on a high-risk mission to separate Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) and Dr Martin Stein (Victor Garber). Episode 14 reveals what happens next to the Firestorm individuals.
