Charlie Hunnam’s exit from "Fifty Shades of Grey" may not have been a big surprise to the film insiders but it was to his friends - - at least for a day. The English hunk managed to keep his exit from his friends as he attended a wedding over the weekend, which only proves he was the “best man” to the bride and groom for their big day.

A picture of Hunnam at a friend’s wedding was posted on Instagram and in it showed The "Deadfall" star looking happy, with no hint that he had just made what could be one of the biggest decision of his life.

The Hollywood hottie was seen all smiles, clearly happy for his friends as they shared kiss when declared married. Vows were exchanged, promises were made and kisses sealed the deal, but it was one of the biggest days not only for the newlyweds but also for Charlie.

What could not be seen in the photo was what’s really going on in Charlie’s heads---the same questions that could be in his fans’ mind after finding out that he decided to bail out for what could have been one of his greatest role as of yet.

But the “Green Street Hooligans” star was able to pull it off and kept his exit from FSOG under wraps. E! said in a report that the English hunk did not want to “overshadow his friends’ wedding” held in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Charlie only had one day after he agreed to step down from the lead role as Christian Grey and fans were taken by surprise by his move. And if there’s another person caught off guard by his move to forego the role, it’s his love interest in the film, Dakota Johnson.

The sexy, young star apparently finds the attention she’s getting “tough,” and critics are now asking how much pressure could she take if she is going to deal with it alone, without her leading man.

The Universal Pictures and Focus Features released a joint statement Saturday confirming Hunnam’s exit. And now the bigger task to look for replacement is up ahead. The "Pacific Rim" star apparently left FSOG due to "very busy schedule."

Film insiders assure fans that there will be no problem replacing Charlie.

"Recasting the lead is the easiest thing, unless they need to bring someone more expensive in, which I doubt," an industry insider was quoted as telling E! News. "Since it's not a special-effects-driven movie, it won't really affect budget."

Would it really be that easy?
