Season 5 of “The Walking Dead” concluded on March 29, 2015. After the end, the first teaser of AMC’s new zombie show titled “Fear The Walking Dead" was aired. Find out what the teaser video is all about.

The 15-second long video showcases Los Angeles just before the massive outbreak. A radio announcer talks to his listeners. “Good morning Los Angeles, hope you got your flu shot. There are reports in five states that a strange virus is going around so if you are not feeling well go home and take care of yourselves.”

It is the first outbreak of the disease and it will be interesting to see how it spreads in Los Angeles. On March 27, 2015, comic book writer of “The Walking Dead” tweeted and announced the title of the spinoff.

“Fear The Walking Dead” will see Cliff Curtis (“Trauma,” “Gang Related” and “Missing”), Kim Dickens (“Gone Girl,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Treme” and “Deadwood”), Alycia Debnam-Carey (“The 100”) and Frank Dillane (“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” and “In the Heart of the Seas”). Robert Kirkman, Greg Nicotero, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert are the executive producers of the companion show. Dave Erickson will be the showrunner and executive producer.

According to Buzzfeed, AMC President Charlie Collier mentioned in a statement that they take it quite seriously the idea of making a good companion show to “the number one show on television” (“The Walking Dead”). Collier added that since the start of “The Walking Dead” people have been asking about what was happening in different parts of the world during the zombie outbreak. “Fear The Walking Dead” is set to find out what happened in other parts.
