The two parts of the “Dancing With the Stars” Season 21 will air on ABC on Nov. 23, Monday, and Nov. 24, Tuesday. Prior to the finale, Derek Hough shared some details about the dances he and Bindi Irwin are set to perform.

In an article he wrote for TV Guide, Hough said the freestyle dance he and Irwin will perform “really embodies love.” He said that in the routine, there are very "raw and authentic" things that are not effects, but nice looks and lighting.

For Hough, Irwin is very raw and authentic so their freestyle dance has to match her. He added that super-sized freestyles “made sense like five Seasons ago.”

According to Hough, his other dance with Irwin is the quickstep, which he describes to be like a 20-minute dance because it feels like 20 minutes although it is only a minute and 50 seconds long. While a quickstep is exhausting because the dancers are not allowed to break hold, he believes Irwin will be able to pull it off.

Hough revealed that in the second part of “DWTS” Season 21 finale, he and Irwin will have the fusion with the remaining three dance pairs. The three other finalists who are still in the running to winning the Mirrorball trophy along with Irwin are Nick Carter , Carlos PenaVega and Alek Skarlatos.

Hough said Irwin keeps calling “DWTS” Season 21 “a gift” and she is very grateful for the experience, which she wants to treasure. He added that the entire Season has been “a love letter” to her late father Steve Irwin.

In addition, Hough described his “DWTS” Season 21 partner as a wonderful and beautiful woman. He said that his dance partner really wants to be “a force for good and she is.”

Aside from being dance partners, the two are also good friends. On the birthday of his dance partner’s boyfriend Chandler Powell on Nov. 21, Saturday, Hough brought in Powell to rehearsals to surprise his dance partner.

“She was like, ‘Oh my gosh, what are you doing here? and she starts fixing her hair,” Hough told E! News. “It was so cute to see.”
