'Days Of Our Lives' spoilers for Dec. 28: Stefano appears to have returned from the dead; fans wonder if a new ‘DOOL’ cast member would play the role
Salem City definitely has an endless supply of big revelations, and the upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”) is not an exception. On Wednesday, Andre (Thaoo Penghlis) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) are in for quite a shock. Rafe (Galen Gering) asks for their approval to exhume Stefano’s (Joseph Mascolo) body to prove that he’s really dead.
With the new storyline that Stefano has been “resurrected,” followers of “DOOL” wonder if the long-running soap would introduce someone new to play his character. However, it may also be possible that Mascolo shot some scenes before he died earlier this month because of Alzheimer’s disease.

Other “Days Of Our Lives” characters who will figure prominently on the Dec. 28 installment include Marlena (Deidre Hall), Steve (Stephen Nichols), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Brady (Eric Martsolf), Deimos (Vincent Irizarry), Nancy (Patrika Darbo), Joey (James Lastovic) and Jade (Paige Searcy).

TV Guide reports that on Wednesday’s run of “DOOL,” Andre and Kate reel at Rafe’s surprising request. Joey and Jade, on the other hand, begin to get excited at the thought of becoming parents soon. Meanwhile, Marlena, Steve and Kayla flash back to unforgettable memories. Elswhere, Brady and Deimos reckon Nancy is aware of Chloe’s baby situation.

In the previous episode, Brady and Deimos discussed plans on how to prove that Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) baby is actually Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker). Brady doubted that they could get DNA samples to test the baby since Nicole was with Holly all the time. Deimos made up an excuse to make Nicole leave the baby for a bit. Once she’s gone, Deimos brought out a DNA swab tube but Nancy arrived and interrupted them.
Meanwhile, Rafe, Kayla and Steve were shocked to discover that Stefano may still be alive. Rafe said it couldn’t be possible – Stefano had stage 4 colon cancer. However, Kayla raised the possibility that Stefano made Hope shoot him so he could escape and be treated for his disease. Shawn and Rafe tried to verify the theory that Stefano is still alive. Kate and Andre arrived and Rafe asked for their permission to dig up Stefano.
