TV Guide reports that on Friday’s episode of “DOOL,” Abigail is left heartbroken after Chad ends their relationship. Elsewhere, it’s another string of stunning news as Ava reveals something to Kayla, and Eduardo tells John something about his past. Meanwhile, Rafe and Hope bond and try to be cheerful amid recent unfortunate incidents.

According to Soap Central, while the situation at Salem may not be filled with Christmas cheer, Rafe will still help Hope and Ciara get into a celebratory mood.

Last Wednesday, Hope was arrested when she became suspected of killing Dr. Malcolm. Previous episodes have shown that Dr. Malcom ended up in a body bag, murdered with a gun. At the police station, Rafe asked Hope to describe what happened but she didn’t provide much details. Rafe warned her that he won’t be able to protect her if she kept being mum about the incident, and that he even saw Hope pointing a gun at Dr. Malcom’s head. While Hope insisted on her innocence, Rafe reveals to her that the gun used to kill the victim was registered under her name. Without any clear alibi and with the incriminating evidence, Rafe was left with no choice but to arrest Hope. Hope sought the help of her lawyer, Belle (Martha Madison), who bailed her out. On her way out, Hope thanked Rafe.
