Carlos Santana is getting married to his drummer.
The legendary guitarist popped the question to Cindy Blackman as fans cheered, four songs into his July 9 concert in Tinley Park, Ill.
"Cindy and I are blessed to have found each other," the 62-year-old told Smooth hitmaker Us Weekly magazine.
"Being in love is a gift from the universe, and the spirit and vibrations that come with it are infinitely powerful.
"I look forward to expressing that incredible energy through my music, and in helping to tip the balance toward more love in the world with what Cindy and I share."
This will be Santana's second marriage after a 34-year relationship with Deborah, who filed for divorce in 2007.
Previous reports also said Santana is currently collaborating with actor Benjamin Bratt, and brother Peter Bratt, to put together a biopic.
Benjamin Bratt, most famous for his role as Rey Curtis on the TV series Law & Order, and his appearances in the movies Blood in Blood Out, Miss Congeniality, Traffic, and Piñero, is set to portray Carlos Santana.
Scheduled to begin filming sometime in 2011, the currently unnamed project is still being written.
