‘Captain America: Civil War’: Chris Evans Teases Possible Love Interest, Reveals Steve Rogers Still ‘A Virgin'

Many movie fans have supposedly been wondering if Captain Steve Rogers is still a newbie when it comes to the “sex department.” The first “Captain America” film has reportedly shown some scenes where it shows Cap given numerous opportunities for a sexual encounter. But according to Chris Evans, nothing ever happened with those women since the super soldier is still virgin.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly about “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Chris Evans was asked what he most wants to see explored about his character in future films. The actor admitted that there’s still “so much to explore” about Captain Steve Rogers, which he looks forward to happening in “Civil War.” There’s the matter of Cap’s sexuality and Evans said Cap ultimately having “a relationship with a woman” needs to be explored.
The actor’s statement triggered a possible love interest question from the interviewer. But Chris Evans was quick to comment on how “funny” that line sounds considering Captain America is believed to still be a virgin.
“He’s probably a virgin! I don’t know when it would’ve happened,” Evans said.
It certainly didn’t happen in the first “Captain America” film, where Steve Rogers was touring with the USO girls. Chris Evans claimed the super soldier could still be a virgin since he is probably still “holding out for Peggy Carter and he’s a little more old-fashioned in that sense.” “He’s a very human guy and that’s why I like him,” he added.
Agent 13, played by “Revenge” star Emily VanCamp, was rumoured to have been Sharon Carter in “Winter Soldier,” although her last name was never mentioned in the film. In the comics, Sharon Carter is Cap’s love interest and niece of Steve Rogers’ first love Peggy Carter. Although the actress has been tightlipped about her character's involvement in the sequel, MTV News claimed Sharon Carter’s relationship with Cap is expected to be fully revealed in “Civil War.”
Aside from a possible love interest in “Captain America: Civil War,” Chris Evans also revealed during his Entertainment Weekly interview that the evolution of his and Anthony Mackie’s character (Falcon) still needs to be explored too. Then there’s also Cap’s reconnection with his best friend Bucky Barnes a.k.a. Winter Soldier, which needs to be further revealed in the sequel.
