The BlackBerry Z10 was released in the first quarter of 2013, whereas the Amazon Fire Phone was recently unveiled. Amazon's first smartphone offers 3D visual effects with the help of camera sensors and gesture controls. This unique 3D smartphone has lots of striking features that other phones do not offer.

Display, Exterior and Size

The Amazon Fire Phone features a 4.7 inches IPS LCD display and it packs a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. Whereas the BlackBerry Z10 features a relatively smaller 4.2 inches display, with a screen resolution of 768 x 1,280 pixels. The BlackBerry Z10 is capable of supporting up to 356 ppi of pixel density, which is slightly higher than the 312 ppi pixel strength of Amazon Fire Phone.

While the BlackBerry Z10 is powered by a dual-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus) Krait processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz. However, both the phones house a solid 2 GB of RAM. The Amazon Fire Phone runs on a forked version of Android OS along with Amazon's Fire OS 3.5, while the BlackBerry Z10 runs on BlackBerry 10 OS.

Camera

The BlackBerry Z10 sports an 8 MP rear-facing camera with LED Flash and a 2 MP front-facing camera unit, while the Amazon Fire Phone features a whopping 13 MP rear-facing camera with LED Flash and a 2.1 MP front-facing camera unit.

Interestingly, Amazon Fire Phone's 2.1 MP front-facing camera comes with "Dynamic Perspective" sensors. These sensors along with "invisible infrared" LEDs are used to locate the face (head) and eyes of the person in focus.
