A preview of “Black Sails” season 4 episode 2 has been released online. The video teases the war is far from over, as long as the pirates who are committed to the cause are still alive. The episode will also mark the rise of a Pirate King.

[Spoiler alert]

John Silver (Luke Arnold) survived the disastrous attack on Nassau in the premiere episode, and he will return to inspire the men to carry on the war. A preview video [see below] shows the one-legged pirate saying the war will continue as long as they are free.

Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) is also committed to taking back Nassau. In the previous episode it was decided to enlist the men from a large plantation and it appears Billy Bones (Tom Hopper) and the others are acting on that plan.

The clash for power between Flint and Billy was out in the open. Perhaps the one man who can resolve this power struggle is John Silver, who is yet to step into the role that is being created for him.

Silver will take the first steps to become the Pirate King in “Black Sails” season 4 episode 2. Word about him has already spread through the region, thanks to the efforts of Billy and the others. Now, the character’s ability will be tested.

It is not clear where Silver landed in the premiere episode. The preview video shows him to be a captive. He will meet up with Billy again in the episode, but that may happen only after he fights his way out of captivity. The one-legged pirate firmly believes that he is the future of Nassau.

There will be more action sequences in the next episode. The British forces, under the command of Woodes Rogers (Luke Roberts) believe that the pirate resistance will end with a decisive battle, but Flint and his men look formidable in the battle scenes.

Another preview video [see below] of the next episode shows the pirates’ plan to be a blockade of Nassau. Woodes is eager to commence commerce on the island to prevent bankruptcy. Flint, however, appears to be getting impatient, and he may want to defeat the British rather than just allow them to leave.

A caption of a picture of Blackbeard (Ray Stevenson) states that the dreaded pirate is going after Eleanor Guthrie (Hannah New), in what is his personal vendetta for the death of Charles Vane (Zach McGowan). “Black Sails” season 4 episode 2 will reveal which side will get an upper hand in this final war. The show can be watched on Foxtel in Australia.
