‘Black Sails’ Season 2 Episode 4 Spoilers: Flint Takes On Vane For Control Of Nassau

The first promo video of “Black Sails” Season 2 Episode 4 has been released. The video shows Captain Flint and Charles Vane making their preparations for a showdown. The winner in the conflict may get to control the Fort at Nassau and consequently the island. [Warning: Spoilers Alert]

Readers who have watched the previous episode of “Black Sails” will remember that Captain Flint has returned to Nassau. He was concerned over the control of the fort by Charles Vane. The situation makes it difficult for Flint to retrieve the gold from the Spanish ship Urca de Lima, as there is a chance that Charles Vane may extort the gold from him.

Captain Flint will give Charles Vane time till sunrise to hand over control of the fort. The promo video of “Black Sails” Season 2 Episode 4 shows Captain Vane preparing to fire the guns. His aim is to take down the new ship that Flint has acquired.

Flint, however, is undeterred by the threat. “I am fully committed to the removal of Captain Vane from that fort,” Flint can be seen saying in the video. Caught between the two rival pirates is Eleanor Guthrie. The character can be seen on a boat in the video, as she makes her way to Flint’s ship.

The previous episode of “Black Sails” showed that Charles Vane had killed the pirate captain Ned Low. The new pirate in the season had become one of the biggest threats for Eleanor Guthrie. Charles Vane and Eleanor were later seen getting intimate.

Eleanor Guthrie had also defended Charles Vane by saying that the pirate Captain did not intend to disrupt the flow of commerce at Nassau. She may now have to choose between Flint and Charles Vane. With the guns at the fort under his command, Charles Vane can be seen threatening to turn the island’s Bay into a graveyard.

The preview video of “Black Sails” Season 2 Episode 4 also shows the characters Max, Rackham and Anne Bonny very briefly. The three characters appear to have resolved their differences in the previous episode. Most of the drama on the island in the next episode may be focused on the fort, with Flint deciding to go to the island and take on Charles Vane’s crew directly.
