Three international bands are now being eyed to replace Blur following its “eleventh hour pull out” from 2013 Big Day Out. The show’s promoter, AJ Maddah, named three groups to play in place of the top music group headliners.

Big Day Out organizers has been in talks with two U.S. bands and one band from UK since Blur’s announcement last week that it is pulling out from the event due to “constantly shifting goalposts.”

"The UK band dutifully came through with their paperwork and contract. And one of the US bands (did too) but the second one basically pissed off for Thanksgiving weekend without sending us their contracts," Maddah was quoted as telling Triple J’s Doctor, according to Rip It Up.

Maddah asserted that the three bands will be announced in no time. No details of the three acts have been released as of yet. But Rip It Up noted that they make the announcement when “all the contracts have been signed.”

"So we'll have to hold to Monday night our time to get it up. We don't want to leave anything to chance at this point,” Maddah added.

The organizers for Big Day Out 2014 is already at the last phase of the show’s line-up now that they found replacements for Blur. However, Maddah emphasized that if they are unhappy with the set, tickets, which costs $185 will be refunded.

With three acts yet to be named, here are the Big Day Out 2014 dates:

Auckland: Fri Jan 17 - Western Springs
Gold Coast: Sun Jan 19 – Metricon Stadium
Melbourne: Fri Jan 24 – Flemington Racecourse
Sydney: Sun Jan 26 – Sydney Showgrounds
Adelaide: Fri Jan 31 – Bonython Park
Perth: Sun Feb 2 – Claremont Showgrounds
