In a shocking incident, a man reportedly discovered a dead mouse in his coffee. The story came to light in Frederiction, Canada where a man bought a take away cup of coffee on his way to office Monday morning only to find extra freebies.

He sipped almost the whole cup of coffee when he discovered something in his cup. Upon looking closely, he was shocked to discover that it was a dead mouse. He claimed to have made the discovery due to his habit of taking off the lid before taking the last sip.

Ron Morais, who had the fateful cup of McDonald's coffee, narrated the incident to CBC News. "I always take the lid off to get my last sip of coffee," said the distressed man. "And when I took the lid off, there was a little bit of a surprise in my coffee cup. It was a dead mouse."

He showed the same to his co-workers who witnessed him discovering the pest in his morning coffee cup. The incident was quite shocking and nauseating for everyone.

On the other hand, officials of McDonalds Canada have issued an official statement that the franchisee building was checked immediately after these reports and no evidence of pest infestation was found in the building. They are still continuing the investigation and have reached out to Morais for the sample of the infested beverage.

This is not the first time that the fast food chain is under fire. In several incidents in the past, several complaints of various foreign objects were reportedly found in McDonald dishes. Way back in 2006, football coach Todd Haley discovered a dead mouse in his McDonald salad, which he took home for his family. Haley filed a lawsuit against the burger chain with damages worth $1.7 million. The case was settled for an undisclosed amount before it went to trial, as reported by Business Pundit.

In a more publicized incident, a chicken head was found intact in the chicken wings ordered from another local McDonald store. The incident was reported throughout the global media with much uproar. Here is the footage of the incident:
