Asus launches its first Android wear smartwatch, the Zenwatch smartwatch is reported to challenge Samsung Gear s and LG G Watch R at IFA 2014 in Berlin, according to The Inquirer. The new smartwatch from Asus is reported to be priced at £199. The Zenwatch was announced at the IFA 2014 on Berlin and The Inquirer noticed the resemblance of the new smartwatch to Samsung's Gear line of smartwatches because of its stainless steel and square design.

Zenwatch is reported to run on Android Wear OS along with Asus' Zen UI skin. The device can be paired with a smartphone that runs on Android 4.3 or higher via bluetooth. The Zenwatch is reported to feature a smart "tap tap" that allow users to enable the "find my phone" feature to locate lost device. This feature can send a signal to the attached device in case it gets lost.

The 2.5-inch rectangular curved glass display is embedded on the Zenwatch's stainless steel frame, according to The Inquirer. "One easy swipe" can be used to open the main menu.

The company is not yet able to announce the released date of the Zenwatch, but along with the new smartwatch, the Memopad 7 and the Zenbook UX305 was also unveiled by Asus. The prices were not yet mentioned as well.

Zenbook UX305 tagged as the "world's thinnest 13-inch QHD + laptop" is reportedly to measure only 12.3mm thin. It is reported to sport a 3K display having 3200x1800p resolution with density at 267ppi. The Zenbook UX305 is reportedly to be powered by Intel Core M processor that according to The Inquirer was previewed at Computex in June. It is expected to come with 128GB or 256GB SSD drive storage variants.

Another product that launched along with Zenwatch is the Memopad 7. It is reported to be an overhauled version of Asus' low priced Memopad that is designed for users that are looking for nice designs or styles. Being made with "duranium" (Asus' term for durable aluminium), reports claim that it is 50% stronger than those that were made with plastic. Memopad 7 is reportedly to sport a 1,920x1,200 resolution touchscreen display powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom processor that runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. John Lewis site is expected offer Memopad 7 in black, gold or red at £179.99 on the fourth quarter of this year.
