Two new characters will be joining “Arrow” Season 5. Cast member Stephen Amell had previously teased that the show will add a new vigilante from the comics. It has now been revealed that in addition to vigilante, Oliver will also gain an ally.

Amell previously teased that a new vigilante will be introduced in the TV series, now Entertainment Weekly reports that Rick Gonzalez will be joining the show as the comic book character Wild Dog. Gonzalez has been a part of popular TV shows like “Mr. Robot” and movies like “Coach Carter.”

In the next season Wild Dog will reportedly be seen as a new vigilante in Star City. His “reckless and cocksure nature” compels Oliver (Stephen Amell) to take him under his wing. It is not clear if the TV series will explore the origin story of this character.

Apart from Wild Dog, another character will be joining Oliver in “Arrow” Season 5. Josh Segarra has joined the TV series to play the role of Adrian Chase, Deadline reports. Segarra has been a part of many TV shows like “Chicago P.D.” and “A Bronx Life.”

Adrian Chase will be the new District Attorney in Star City. He has been described as Oliver Queen’s ally. His primary aim is to “clean up the streets through the legal system.” However, in the comics the character also uses another method to fight crime.

In the comics Adrian’s alter ego is known as The Vigilante. However, there are several characters in the comics that go by the same name, and the producers may use the source material of these different comics to create the character for the TV series.

Adrian first appeared as Vigilante in a comic released in 1983. He took to crime fighting as The Vigilante after his family was killed by gangsters. It is not clear if “Arrow” Season 5 will use the same story for the character.
