After Apple's stock split on June 9, the price per share has dropped to around $92. Investors are usually attracted to stock splits with reduced price.

But stock splits neither add nor diminish the value of stock since Apple's overall equity remains the same. By announcing a stock split, the Cupertino-based company has created more demand for Apple's stock.

The recent 7-for-1 split was Apple's first stock split in nine years. In its latest earnings report, the company said it wants its stock to be more accessible to the investors. With this, analysts speculated Apple wants to be included in the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index.

According to market analysts, higher-priced stocks have bigger impact on Dow Jones since it is a price-weighted index. Before the stock split, Apple's stock had an above $600 price, but the stock split has made it eligible for Dow Jones.

Analysts said stocks included in the Dow or S&P 500 will usually see an increase in stock price. Apple's stock split has made the stock more enticing to many institutional investors.

Bigger iPhone 6 Enticing in Emerging Markets

Several reports surfaced that Apple may have misjudged and underestimated the impact of bigger screen smartphones. The strong sales of phones that come with Google's Android operating system may be a sign of bigger things to come if Apple will prove the rumors true in releasing bigger iPhone 6 in September.

Money Morning Defence and Tech Specialist Michael Robinson said if Apple will release a bigger iPhone, it would be a "smart move" for the company, especially in emerging markets like China where consumers prefer smartphones with larger screens.

He said 40 percent of smartphones sold in China have 5-inch screens or bigger. If Apple will release bigger iPhone, the emerging market segment will be a huge opportunity for the company.

iOS 8, Apple's latest OS version, has features like HealthKit app that can be exploited in iPhone 6.

Aside from the usual enhancements to iPhone's camera, processor and battery life, iPhone 6 is something a customer would want whether he is buying an iPhone for the first time or looking for an upgrade.
