In Another Gay Rant, Televangelist Pat Robertson Says Homosexuals Are Confused Straights (VIDEOS)

While insisting he is not anti gay, televangelist Pat Roberson yet made another rant against homosexuals after his suggestion earlier this week for Facebook to add a vomit button so he could click it whenever he sees gays kissing pixs on the social media site.

In another of The 700 Club, Mr Robertson described members of the LGBT community as having forsaken God and their being gays and lesbians as not natural. But he said when these kind of people will reunite with God, "the Lord will get their priorities the way it is supposed to be."

He explained, quoted by Right Wing Watch, "A lot of people are into this homosexual thing because they've been abused ... they're little boys and little girls and they don't know any better ... and then they somehow think, 'Well, I must be gay.' They aren't. They are heterosexual and they just need to come out of that."

The comment was in response to news that Exodus International, an ex-gay ministry, had apologised to the gay community for year of judging them. Exodus closed in June.

Exodus President Alan Chamber said then "Exodus is an institution in the conservative Christian world, but we've ceased to be a living, breathing organism ... For quite some time we've been imprisoned in a worldview that's neither honoring toward our fellow human beings, nor biblical."

The preacher stressed he is not against gay people and even claimed that The 700 Club has many homosexual viewers. "Many of them are looking for love and acceptance and help ... And I'm glad to report that we have thousands of these people who are saying, 'Yes, we want to follow Jesus, we're not happy with the lifestyle we're in, and we want to have a better way.' I think it's wonderful that that's happening," he said.

As for gays who were not abused as kids, he opined they probably suffer from some chromosomal damage that make them different from straight people.

Mr Robertson's theory on chromosomal damage as well as his latest statement about gays will surely incur again the ire of the LGBT communities worldwide as did his proposal on the FB vomit button.
