The American Horror Story season 4 details have not yet been announced but co-creator Ryan Murphy is giving fans clues once in a while to tide them over. American Horror Story changes just like any miniseries on network television with one genre but a new storyboard every season. A lot of rumours for the upcoming installments have already swirled quickly on the Internet.

Murphy talked to The Huffington Post Canada, teasing that Jessica Lange would come back to the next season of American Horror Story. "Jessica says it is her last season but I am going to do everything to convince her to remain in the series because I see American Horror Story continuing for decades," Murphy said in a fearless forecast. Murphy also told Entertainment Weekly that season 4 will take place in the 50s. He quickly added though that the show will focus on two time periods so the second period remains a mystery.

Murphy also said that Lange will play a character like "Marlene Dietrich," who was a German-born movie star and singer in the 20s and 30s and was the first ever German actress to be nominated for the Academy Awards. Marlene Dietrich was famous for her sensual voice and glamorous style. She used to entertain the U.S. troops based in Nazi Germany and in 1947, she even got a U.S. War Department Medal of Freedom.

Dietrich is like Fiona Goode, whose character is portrayed by Lange in American Horror Story: Coven. AHS Season 4 will probably feature Fiona Goode as a German diva who emigrates to the U.S. Murphy describes season 4 as "crazy, bizarre and Gothic." He aims to bring its sharp comedy to season 4, with full of possibilities such as hydrogen bomb developments, famous actresses, political landscapes and more.

Other cast members who are said to be part of American Horror Story season 4 include Angela Bassett who was portrayed by Marie Laveau in Coven. Laveau just tweeted her interest of being a part of another season. A Bassett fan also posted on Twitter, saying they would love to have Bassett on season 4, to which the star responded: "From your mouth to God's ears!"

American Horror Story season 4 premieres this fall of 2014 on FX.
